SYNOPSIS By day ordinary people. When sleeping they become Super-heroes and face their ultimate fears within nightmares.
Nathan suffers from nightmares but becomes a super hero called Hurricane only in 'dream land' so as to combat bad dream entities. After helping himself, he begins a crusade to help others. Along the way he meets people who have done it before, Jetstream, Cyclone, Tsunami and the powerful Tornado. Plus he meets a dangerous Nemesis. Can he be the dream super hero powerful enough to beat this adversary before they all get destroyed? Where is the Nemesis coming from? Why does it keep getting stronger? Should Hurricane even try to stop it since it isn't his problem? At the end of the day what decisions will he make?

DETAILS A second feature length (over 70 minutes) CGI movie started late 2003 (first ideas June 1st 2003) and expected to take a while to complete. Made using Poser, Bryce and many of the same software used for Starfighters. Plan is to have bespoke and/or copyright free music and some famous names for the voices. This will be for an older age group than Starfighters. Some figures from Daz3D.com The idea is to make a feature film as easily as possible. I don't want to spend lots of time learning software, instead I wish to get my story made and that is the point - to use modern technology to help me as a film maker realise things I could not do any other way. Today technology is making it more possible for many people to realise the dream of making a feature film. The point is to get out there and DO IT rather than just talk about doing it. The title is based on the line 'monsters from the Id' in the film 'Forbidden Planet'. In that film they were attacked by a creature from someone's subconscious mind. In my film the monsters materialise as nightmares. The monsters in my title also refer to objects as well as creatures. Nathan is the same character as in 'The War of the Starfighters' but this film is set before that one, so he looks a bit younger. It is a small link and not an obvious one but one nonetheless. Expected to take a couple of years to make, this one I plan to get a British Board of Film Classification rating and hope to sell a few. Go to the diary at the top of the page for details and updates. (2005). Update (2006) - Film completed and 75 minutes long. |
