Future Plans

Calvertfilm (CFL) was started in 1978 and has so far produced many movies, musical tracks, models and other items. The long term aim of Calvertfilm is to keep working on new creative endeavours.

'Starfighters' is part of the future for CFL. There are two scripts ready to be made into feature films, one of which I have made myself. They tell the story of a father and son and a robot Trevlac and how they work together, and with their friends, to combat alien threats. The stories are very visual and therefore special effects intensive. I can now make a movie by myself at home on the computer by making it a computer graphics (CG) movie. I have done everything myself except for the voices which will be my family, friends and cameo roles for Star Wars actors. A nice personal touch I think.

Making a film is only part of the equation. I will then need to distribute it. As the Internet's capabilities get better, I think I will be able to transmit it at high quality one day. The Internet will be my distributor. I have also made the film to DVD. It is broadcast resolution too.

Other plans include making many short movies. As my sons grow up perhaps they will be interested in this pastime too.

But another 'Starfighters' script awaits production by a professional company. Just in case I get asked. You never know.
